In a little city known as Gashoma, there lived a very rich man who lost his beloved wife in a motor accident and was left with an only daughter named Tafita. She was in college at that period studying Physics. Tafita had a severe problem with her left leg which after several surgical operations remained imperfect. She walked with the aid of a fixed support on her left leg. Tafita had a very close friend named Zainy. Her friend, Zainy loved her so much but at a certain time, she became envious because while Tafita was of a rich background, she was from a poor home. As a result of their lovely relationship, Tafita’s father; Mr. Unan offered to pay Zainy’s fees all through her college education. Zainy was so grateful and eventually became a regular visitor in Mr. Unan’s residence and every thing was fine.
Tafita and her friend had no boyfriends. While Zainy was constantly approached by one of the guys in college, Tafita was always communicating with a guy known as Macho through the internet. Macho was a son from a rich family in Gashoma and was studying geology in Topah; a city not far away from Gashoma. His best friend was studying medicine in the same college and both of them occupied the same apartment, shared things together and lived as if they were brothers. Macho’s friend; Tagoso, was aware of the internet relationship between Macho and Tafita. He encouraged Macho to take the whole thing seriously, since they were also without girlfriends.
While Zainy always rejected her admirer’s approach, Tafita was flowing well with Macho her internet lover. All through their conversation on the internet, Tafita never told Macho that she had a problem with her leg. Even when Zainy tried to ask her, she told her that she doesn’t know how her lover would feel and she was afraid of losing him. At this time, they all had graduated from college, so Macho and his friend were to return home to Gashoma. A job was already waiting for Tagoso in one of the well known hospitals while Macho was to manage his parent's business. Macho lost his parent when he was four years old and since then, he was raised by his god parent. They were so kind to wait for him to become a man so that they can handover his inheritance to him.
When Zainy was told that macho was coming back with his friend, she plotted on making Tagoso her lover when they eventually arrive. Subsequently, the thought of having Tagoso as her lover was so inevitable and she was so anxious of their return. One problem she had was her desperate taste for riches and not the demand for love in a relationship. All she concluded was that Tagoso would also be of a rich background but little did she know that he went to college on scholarship and came from a humble home. Though he had high hopes for he graduated with an excellent result and had a very good job waiting for him.
At the airport, Tafita and her friend were waiting to welcome Macho and his friend from Topah. While the waited, Zainy asked Tafita if she had told Macho of her situation. At that instant, Tafita changed her mood because she was afraid of what Macho’s reaction would be when he finds out. Moments later, she consoled herself with the fact that Macho would still love her in what ever condition if he truly loves her. They discussed for almost fifteen minutes before Macho and Tagoso arrived. Tafita was happy when she noticed that Macho did not act strange when he saw her leg. While Tafita and Macho were pleased to meet each other, Zainy was delighted to see Tagoso and immediately fell in love with him at first sight.
